【Jilin,China|中国，吉林】The 2026 Changchun Forum explored ways to connect innovation, industry, talent, and capital chains, with a focus on cultivating new quality productive forces, tackling key core technologies, and advancing the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent.

The forum was held on Sept 15 at Jilin University, under the theme "University and City: Mission-Led Leadership, Integration of Sci-Tech and Industrial Innovation, Paradigm Transformation".

It also examined ways to transform and upgrade old industrial bases while contributing ideas to national goals such as high-level sci-tech self-reliance and high-quality economic development.

At the opening ceremony, Jilin University signed cooperation agreements with 12 nationally leading enterprises. The university and companies will deepen collaboration in talent development, technological research, and industrial applications through diverse partnership models.

The forum also featured keynote speeches and two roundtable discussions. Government, university, and business representatives exchanged views on integrated education, technology, and talent development, as well as ways to better align university innovation with urban industrial needs.

The forum brought together academicians, experts, leading enterprises, universities, and think tanks to explore practical development strategies. Cooperation agreements will support joint research, shared innovation platforms, and targeted talent development in key sectors including aerospace and automotive manufacturing.
