报告题目:Nearfield Imaging of Metamaterials in Space,Reciprocal Space and Time Domain

Nearfield Imaging Laboratory Linbou Nearfield Technology Co.,Ltd.

Hongyi XU is the co-founder of LINBOU Nearfield Technology Co.Ltd. which is the leading developer of nearfield imaging solutions for electromagnetic characterizations. He obtained his PhD degree in Applied Physics in Nanyang Technological University. His research focuses on theory, design and application of multi-physics invisibility phenomena in field-matter interactions, ranging from optical domain to static field. Related first-author and corresponding-author results have been published in Journals of PNAS, PRL (Highlight), Scientific Reports, APL (Cover), etc., which were widely covered by mainstream media such as Physics World and CBS News. Related nearfield technology has been licensed for industrial applications and awarded as the sole winner of Clean Technology Challenge in UK.

Abstract:

Nearfield imaging has become an indispensable approach in metamaterial-related research, since it not only provides the image of wave propagation in and around metamaterials, but also can visualize band diagram in reciprocal space, field pattern and radiation pattern from nearfield to farfield region. We propose a stable, fast and economic solution to nearfield imaging, which can visualize the dynamic interaction of electromagnetic fields with metamaterials in space domain, reciprocal space and time domain, for both two-dimension to three-dimension applications.
