报告题目:Development of Hybrid Li-Ion Capacitor Systems
报 告 人:王春蕾 长白山学者讲座教授 美国佛罗里达国际大学
In this talk, our recent progress on developing various miniaturized energy storage and power generation devices will be discussed. The miniaturized systems including batteries, supercapacitors and micro biofuel cells are mainly employing 3D carbon micropillar arrays integrated with different nanomaterials, such as conductive polymer, CNTs, graphene, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and rGO/CNTs composite. The carbon micropillar arrays are constructed using carbon microelectromechanical systems (C-MEMS) technique. In order to address the shortcoming of EDLC based supercapacitors, hybridization of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and EDLCs has been developed comprising a Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) anode and a graphene and carbon nanotube (G-CNT) composite cathode. C-MEMS based various microelectrode arrays are promising for on-chip energy application with high energy and high power demands.
Chunlei (Peggy) Wang is an associate professor in the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department at Florida International University. She received her MS (1993) and PhD (1997) in Solid State Physics from Jilin University (China). Before joining FIU, she held various research positions at Osaka University (1995-2001) and University of California Irvine (2001-2006). At FIU, her group focuses on the development of micro and nanofabrication methods for building novel micro and nanostructures and synthesizing nanomaterials that have unique structures and useful properties for energy and biological applications. She published in 5 book chapters, more than 100 peer reviewed journal publications, and 10 patent. She is a recipient of FIU faculty award in research and creative activities (2013), FIU Kauffman Professor Award (2009), and DARPA Young Faculty Award (2008). She was a co-founder of Carbon Microbattery Corporation (now: Enevate Corp), a consultant at Intel Lab, and a guest scientist at Max Planck Institute.
